Christianity 101: Knowing God Personally
Sunday 5 March 2019
We thank Pastor James Bahn for the good news this week. Last Sunday, the Christianity 101 series explored the foundations of the faith with the message "Knowing God Personally" and highlighted that Christianity is not just a religion, but a relationship.
John 14:5-14
5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."
God sent His only son because of the love He has for us. In John 17:3 it says; "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." If we know God personally we are in constant contact with Him and as a result would be overwhelmed by peace and ultimately fulfilled.

Pastor James Banh mentioned to us three ways to know God personally:
1. Recognise how little you know God
2. Come to the person of Jesus
3. Translate informational knowledge to personal knowledge

This week seek a real and intimate relationship with God by reflecting on this message and the three ways to know God personally Pastor James has highlighted. Finally pray for a personal relationship with God to truly know Him.
